This isn’t a plug. This is a gift. Data Recovery
As some of you may (or may not) know, last week my beloved laptop of three years went to laptop heaven. we had three really great years together and when I say it when EVERYWHERE with me, I am not kidding. In the car, on the couch, in my bed, at just about every establishment with food, coffee, and wi-fi within a 5 mile radius of me.
To say it was the lifeline of my business is an understatement.
“She” was showing the inevitable signs of aging…Â The battery didn’t last more than 2 minutes not plugged in. The fan ran so loud that you could hear it in the other room, and probably fry an egg on the backside. She would also not boot up properly and take a good 5 minutes to start up. But it was okay for me, because once she got going my hands fit perfectly on the keyboard and mouse and fast and away I could go!
Yeah, it was pretty bad.
I had begun the preliminary “shop around” and contacted Jason at PC Made Ez Jason and I graduated from High School together, we pet sit for his mom, he and I have taught Facebook classes together, and we have remained great friends. So naturally I called out to him when I was in need.
Jason began trying to educated me on the gig’s this, and ram that… and it was all jibberish to me. I admit that I sorta brushed it off and didn’t do much research and shrugged off the inevitable… That my baby girl (lap top)’s days were numbered.
One Friday, while resting on top of the counter on my bar, my foot snagged the cord and BOOM, she literally went crashing to the floor. Suprisingly, still working. So I picked her up, sat on the coach and continued doing the project I was working on….
SIDE NOTE: Did I mention that not only has Jason ALWAYS been preaching backing up your files… but he has me preaching it to our networking groups and he has written articles on it? Data Recovery Article Of course, I hadn’t *really* done it. I backed up some things on Google Doc’s, but lets face it – its not the easiest to back up your entire system. So I had some stuff but not all. In addition I had thousands of pictures and hundreds of video’s stored on my laptop…
Sure enough,a fter about 5 min, my beloved laptop just shut off. I tried turning her on again, and it wasn’t happening. Oh Shoot!
I dialed 911 (aka Jason’s number 480-720-5656) and he told me to take her into the hospital (him). We met up two hours later (yes, he is that accommodating!!!) and was able to recover all my data for me off my hard drive. Currently he is working to see if he can restore her.
That was last week. As I told you earlier, “she” is my lifeline. So you can only imagine how I felt when she couldn’t work. It was like the oxygen had been sucked out of the room. Crazy, I know. So knowing that she was old, and that I would need to get a new one soon anyways I went to Sam’s Club and got my “new baby” who i am typing to you from now. Defiantly just went from a Kia to a Lexus in the laptop world…
Guess who helped he out with the purchase? Yup! Jason to the rescue again. Based on knowing my day to day needs, he was able to give me the paarameters of whaat to look for. Once I thought I found it, he did a price compaaarison onlie to make sure I was getting the right one. with such a HUGE purchase, it was really awesome knowing I got the peace of mind from Jason and PC Made Ez.
I am so thankful that I am going to get all my pictures, video’s, and documents back. I can’t believe I was nieve enough to not do it before. Especially since it IS my lifeline.
So please, whether you just *kind of* use your computer, or use it everyday, consider talking to Jason. He is friendly, very reasonably priced, knowledgeable, available (how many times have you waited and waited for a call back from a provider??), and talks with you, not at you.
The value and peace of mind he provided me was outstanding! He talked me through my crisis. Recovered my data. Backed up my old data. Provided suggestions in new equipment. Price shopped for me. Gave me peace of mind that everything was going to be okay.
If you don’t have anything backed up on your computer – PLEASE CALL JASON! He even has solutions that cost you less than $10 a month to always have the back up! WOW. You wont regret it.
How important is your computer to you? That is the real question. Can you live without it if someone took it from you right now?
I can’t.
